New Album "Every picture tells a story" - tentative release date in fall 2025

In 2024, Beat teamed up with a group of world-class musicians for a prog-rock album, Every Picture Tells a Story, featuring nine original compositions, tentatively set for release in late Q3 2025. “The songs blend my fusion influences with my prog-rock roots. I’m thrilled with the phenomenal musicians involved—they’re doing an outstanding job,” Beat shares.

With nearly 48 years and 22 albums as the iconic voice of Canadian prog rockers SAGA, Michael Sadler’s vocal prowess remains a force of nature—rich, emotive, and effortlessly commanding.  The twice nominated JUNO winner with SAGA, his live career is a testament to his enduring artistry. Todd Sucherman ("Tod SOO-ker-man")

Best known as the drummer for Styx, Todd Sucherman stands among the elite, alongside Simon Phillips, Dave Weckl, and Gregg Bissonette, cementing his status as one of the world’s top drummers. His dynamic, precise style is a perfect match for Every Picture Tells a Story. Beyond performing, Todd is a highly sought-after masterclass instructor, sharing his expertise with aspiring musicians.

Zlatko Perica - Guitars

A Musicians Institute (Hollywood, CA) degree of honors graduate, Zlatko Perica made his mark in the 1990s with Tangerine Dream, earning seven Grammy nominations. Transitioning to a prolific session career, he joined Gölä, the best-selling Swiss artist singing in Swiss-German, and served as musical director for DJ Bobo’s Pirates of Dance world tour. Zlatko also spearheaded Night of the Guitars, a three-time event showcasing top international guitarists. Check out his stunning rendition of Dream Theater's "under a glass moon". Recently, he launched a solo career, releasing two singles as both guitarist and vocalist.

René Maurer - Bass

Graduating from the Musicians Institute in 1992, René Maurer returned to Switzerland and etched his name in music history as Gölä’s bassist. Their debut album sold 300,000 copies (five-time platinum), charting for over two years, followed by a four-time platinum second album (No. 1 for nine weeks) and a third album also hitting four-time platinum. After touring with Sandee, Gölä’s former backing vocalist, René stepped back from the road to focus on family.

Pictures and stories

“When writing lyrics, I envisioned pictures capturing each song’s mood and essence, inspiring the album title and artwork,” Beat explains. To bring the stories to life, each track is paired with a corresponding image for the booklet.
